The National Environmental Technology Test Sites (NETTS) program provides a vehicle for demonstrating reliable, cost-effective, and proven cleanup technologies that meet Department of Defense (DoD) contaminant characterization and remediation goals. DoD’s Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) established NETTS in 1993 and currently funds sites at the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), Port Hueneme, California, and Dover Air Force Base (AFB), Delaware. These sites offer a network of well-characterized test sites where technologies can be field-tested under known conditions against established standards.
