Special ESTCP Solicitation Addresses Remediation of Perchlorate-Contaminated Groundwater
11/17/2010ESTCP released a solicitation on November 18, 2010 for proposals to demonstrate and validate technologies for treatment of perchlorate-contaminated groundwater used for drinking water in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Researchers from Federal organizations, universities, and private industry can apply for ESTCP funding. SERDP Solicits Proposals for FY 2012 Funding
10/28/2010SERDP released its FY 2012 Core and SERDP Exploratory Development (SEED) solicitations on October 28, 2010. Funds are available through a competitive process to both federal and private organizations to perform basic and applied research and advanced technology development. For the Core Solicitation, pre-proposals from the non-federal sector were due January 6, 2011 and federal proposals are due March 10, 2011. All SEED proposals are due March 10, 2011.

08/10/2010Dr. Paul Anastas is Assistant Administrator for EPA’s Office of Research and Development and Science Advisor to the EPA. Rear Admiral David W. Titley is Oceanographer and Navigator of the Navy. Dr. Robert Costanza is the Gund Professor of Ecological Economics and Director of the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics at the University of Vermont.

08/10/2010Based on extensive work funded by SERDP, ESTCP, and others, In Situ Remediation of Chlorinated Solvent Plumes describes the process design and engineering for physical, chemical, and biological technologies used to treat complex chlorinated solvent plumes.
ESTCP-Funded Scientists Honored with AAEE 2010 Superior Achievement Award for Environmental Engineering Excellence
08/10/2010Dr. Patrick Evans and his team from CDM were selected for this award for their work on in situ remediation of perchlorate in vadose zone soil using gaseous electron donors.
